Moratoriums have become the “answer” to halting fraternity/sorority community operations as campuses figure out what the future holds for these organizations at their institution. This AdvanceU program will focus on the emerging issue of campus moratoriums and will discuss the institutional practice and implications of suspending fraternity and/or sorority chapter operations across a community. Program participants will become familiar with the intent and impact of moratoriums, when a moratorium might be appropriate, and alternatives to a moratorium.
Program attendees will grow their knowledge in the Core Competencies of Student Safety, Navigating Complexity, and Collaborating with Stakeholders.
