Water Under The Bridge was a dance, performance and heritage project in which 30 Y5/Y6 students from Curwen Primary School in Plaistow learned about the history and people of Plaistow by interviewing a group of older people from the local community. The children then worked together to create a short dance performance based on these interviews, telling the stories of the older people growing up in and outside the UK, their experiences of arriving in London from overseas, and the changes that have taken place in Plaistow in the last 50 years.
The project was led by professional dancers from Bricolage Dance UK, with support from Curwen Primary School, Plaistow Community Neighbourhoods and Plaistow Library.
