I am the writer, director, producer, camera operator,on set photographer,SPFX make-up artist and editor. This is my very first NO BUDGET,DIY zombie short.
It is a tragic but funny at times zombie short.
The story is about a little girl named Maya who has an alcoholic Dad as a result of her mother dying. When she heads to her Gramps for Spring break a virus hits his work and employees, changing Maya's world in an instant. All alone in the beginnings of an outbreak, she heads home by herself to the comfort of her Dad.Only she finds out the virus has hit her own beloved neighborhood. And her Dad.With anger and sadness,Maya puts on a grin...and grabs some knives...
This is my very first "no budget" film which has been a contestant to the Dead On Film Competition August 2011 in Vancouver,British Columbia at the Rio Theatre,in which it had to be reduced to a 5 minute short. Then I submitted it to Zombiefeast Horror film festival in Victoria,British Columbia and got selected and screened in it’s full 15 minutes. It’s received pretty good praise so far and this makes me very happy!
