On a mission with a special research permit to suction cup a camera onto a humpback whale in the name of science!! What? Now that is a real life mission (near) impossible!
Our goal is to place the National Geographic "Critter Cam" -- a scientific device that measures water depth, temp, pressure, salinity as well as records HD video and underwater sounds of the hidden lives of migrating whales.
As with any mission involving getting close to wild animals --we got more than we bargained for!
WARNING: Do not attempt this at home! Whales are protected species that need special scientific permits to approach. We have the ONLY permits in Australasia to attempt this research. Critter cam has never been successfully deployed in Australia. We hope to be the FIRST! Join in the adventures and share in the misadventures!
