Drum Cannonry is a game about attacking and countering with rhythm patterns, playable with computer keyboards, MIDI controllers and real drum sets. One player owns cannons on the left side and attempts to destroy his opponent's cannons (right side) while avoiding overheat.
The project was discontinued (its website, documentation and demo are no longer available).
The game was released in Fall 2011 (on PC+Mac) and featured a singleplayer mode, online 1v1 multiplayer and the ability to add custom music. Initially called Tambour during the beta stage (with a free version called Tambourine), the name was changed to Drum Cannonry for the final release. The project received good press and a fair amount of downloads, but proved to be commercially unsustainable. The project was suspended one year later to start working on short films again.
