Architecture critic Justin Davidson and design editor Wendy Goodman, both of New York Magazine, meet at Rizzoli Bookstore on 57th Street in New York to talk about their selections for the most notable design books of 2011.
Among Davidson's choices are two books by David Adjaye and out-of the-ordinary catalogues from recent exhibitions at the Cooper-Hewitt and The Museum of Modern Art. Goodman chose books ranging from "the inside story" of the High Line to a lavish survey of the work of Alexander Girard, which she describes as "probably the most important design book of 2011." Davidson and Goodman cover 14 books between them in this video. The titles and authors covered are recapped at the end.
