Note: Class is suitable for those experiencing betrayal trauma, as well as those seeking to understand and support others in trauma.
Will I ever feel happy again? Am I going crazy? Is it possible to stop obsessing and trying to control my spouse’s addiction? What do I do now? In this class you will learn about betrayal trauma and its connection to PTSD. Learn what PTSD symptoms are, and discover that you’re not crazy—you’re responding in a perfectly normal way to your circumstances. Come learn how to begin listening to your intuition. Learn about and practice exercises to ground and center yourself with serenity regardless of your external circumstances. This will give you a greater capacity to make healthy decisions for yourself, and will provide relief from pain and trauma. The class will also discuss and help you recognize common response patterns to betrayal trauma and potential belief systems you may have. You will learn ways to shift into healthier patterns to avoid pitfalls that can inhibit healing. Participants will also leave with a list of resources that will provide hope and support for continued healing.
