This webinar, presented in partnership with Holmes Murphy Fraternal Practice, offers an overview of how legal adult-use cannabis is changing the way cannabis is used, its potential impact on campus culture, and concerns about misuse patterns that are emerging. We’ll also discuss how prevention programs, including education, interventions, and policies may be adapted to address this changing environment.
Dr. James Lange is the Executive Director of the Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Drug Misuse Prevention and Recovery, an academic center of The Ohio State University. He does this while also remaining the Coordinator of Alcohol and Other Drug Initiatives for San Diego State University. Recently, Dr. Lange was SDSU’s first Director of the stand-alone Health Promotion Department. His research and service career have earned him an international reputation within the field of AOD abuse prevention. Dr. Lange received his undergraduate education at Pitzer College, and his doctorate education at the University of Maryland, College Park. Before coming to SDSU in 2001, he was a Senior Research Scientist with the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation.
