PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS VIDEO DOCUMENTS THE START OF OUR CREATIVE PROCESS LEADING TO OUR MULTI-SCREEN FILM, CURRENTLY TOURING (NOT AVAILABLE ONLINE).
This short film presents Elastic Theatre’s new project JULIUS: an imaginary coming of age story, depicted through a fusion of physical performance, film and innovative music-theatre. JULIUS explores the issues raised by OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) with a particular focus on the experience of intrusive thoughts. The video documents the original ideas that informed the making of our multi-screen film, supported by the Wellcome Trust and the Jerwood Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with Savage Mills. The subject of this work is being researched with the contribution of leading experts in the fields of psychiatry and medical history and with the collaboration of high profile organisations internationally.
JULIUS will be developed in 2012/2013. For more information, elastictheatre.com.
