featuring PINK FLOYD's legendary engineer ANDY JACKSON @ the controls!
This song is our contribution to the "IT GETS BETTER" Movement.
On the most personal level, this song is about celebrating who you are... especially if you're a teen, like us, just now coming out or thinking about it... whether you self-identify as gay, queer, bear/cub, D/s, sissy, drag queen, questioning or whatever... we all have something very important in common: This is our "Rosa Parks" moment.
(Thank you, Lady Gaga, for what you did at the White House today!)
On the "macro-level" this is a song about all of us collectively seizing control of the worst derogatory word still out there -- yes, that word "faggot" -- just like how African-Americans seized control of the "N" word and Queer Nation seized control of the "Q" word.
It's time we shout from the rooftops, "WE'RE MAD AS HELL & WE'RE NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!" --and mean it.
Sure, homophobia will be with us for a long time to come; but gay bashing and bullying MUST STOP NOW - by force, if necessary.
So here's the bottom line:
Gay Bashers (you know who you are):
The next time you pick on someone smaller than you or "weaker" than you, this is your warning: we might LOOK smaller... we might LOOK weaker... but SOME of us (MARKY, for example) some of us know martial arts. And a blackbelt can take out six of you in about six seconds without breaking a sweat. JSYK... sooner or later... you'll pick on one of US... and THEN -- it will be TOO LATE.
