2011 marks the 70th Year Anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor and as of December 31, 2011 the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association will also make its way into history. Due to an uncontrollable decrease in membership the National PHSA will close permanently. However, the Carnation Chapter 3 in San Diego, California which holds the largest number of active Pearl Harbor Survivor members will continue to serve. Volunteering in their community, speaking to local schools, welcoming home our troops and supporting each other till the 'last man standing' is what brings meaning to their lives now. These proud service men are a humbling reminder that life does go on, we can overcome disaster and find meaning in tragedy. This documentary spans just over a year but holds a lifetime of meaning.
