The Chickahominy Fight (working title) is a documentary that examines the history and presence of a little known Tribe in rural Virginia and their struggle to earn federal acknowledgment as being a Tribe by the United States government. Such recognition would mean several benefits for the members of the Tribe, including tuition assistance for college and beyond, access to health services (particularly for elders), and a greater sense of pride in being officially “endorsed” by the federal government.
