In this video Asimina Chremos performs Wooden (part 3: corridor).
This installation includes a long lit hallway where there are 5 light blue panels hung on a black wall with attached soil, grass and wood. This installation is designed to change over time. At the opening of this performance/installation run the soil is moist and the grass is growing. As days pass the soil dries, the grass dies and parts of the panels fall off onto the floor.
Wooden is about the effects of time on the materials, the installation and the body. The elements of growth, decay and entropy are explored in the slowest changes of plants while the performer, moving at human speed, cycles through this solo, entering and exiting with audience members following her.
