Drive in august 2011 from los angeles, CA to New York City. We drove about 4500 miles (7500km) in around two weeks. The path is - los angeles CA, las vegas NV, salt lake city UT, butte/great falls/missoula/butte/miles city (all in MT), north dakota, minneapolis MN, chicago IL, washington DC, boston MA, new york city NY.

Somewhere in north dakota the camera broke so there is a gap until chicago where we got a replacement. We were in washington DC for the earthquake. You can see everyone in the street after evacuating. Coming from boston you can see some rain. We made it into long island just in time for hurricane irene.

For the shoot I just had the canon 550d/rebel t2i with the kit 18-55mm lens, mounted upside down (only way it could fit) with a wood's suction cup/manfrotto arm to get the 1/4 20 mount. I used the smallest jpeg size and didn't need to worry about swapping cards. Two second intervals. At the start I had the camera going nonstop but then started and stopped only when more interesting scenery came up.

thanks to wolfwolf for letting me use two awesome tracks. Check more out at:
