Some of my fondest childhood memories are summer holiday's with my 2 cousins Nicola and Louise. We would normally go to Cornwall. But in 1976 we went to Saundersfoot near Tenby. From what I remember summers in the UK in the 70s were sunny and warm. We would happily jump in the sea which is proof it must have been warm. Buckets, spades, sandcastles, beach pic nicks, dinghy's, washing lines, terry-towling shorts, milkshakes, fish and chips all added to the fun.
