My first 16mm film ever: I found an old Bolex H16 with three Kern Primes, bought half a dozen of Orwo UN54 and took all that together with a monopod and a Gossen Lunasix to the "Festival of Speed" in Goodwood, UK.
Unfortunately, the 25mm lens was an RX model and thus caused tons of blurry shots. It was maybe a bit brave to shoot 600 ft of film stock without ever having tested the camera before... anyway, after quite some cutting, I still like the results.
Using a portable MiniDisc Recorder, I captured two hours of random ambient sounds at the festival and now finally made a soundtrack out of that using FCPX. Took me just 13 years to do so...
The film was cut manually, then scanned by Daan Müller on his incredible HM73 and treated with an earlier avisynth script of mine... hence the heavy artifacts here and there, especially in dark scenes. Still practicing :)
