Digital Divide 2009, Santa Monica CA. 600’x 9’x 12’. Switch Glass, Theatrical Gel, computer control, Steel, Created for the Big Blue Bus Maintenance Facility, This kinetic wall utilizes special glass that switches between transparency and translucency in miliseconds. The is a moving façade that ripples with light and pattern across the skin of the fence. Dynamic sequences and low res video are programmed into the wall and create ever-moving dynamic patterns, coded messages and visual jazz. The wall is powered by photo voltaics on the rooftop.
