a sampling of linville gorge bouldering fall 2011. This is a collage of three different trips to the linville river with some of my friends, mostly along the river below the babel's tower; an area dubbed god's country. For me, the surroundings are as much a part of the climbing experience as the physical aspect of actually climbing. I like the linville river because the climbing is great, almost unlimited, and greatly varied, all on bullet hard stone, and fall color adds a lot to the already incredible view of being down in a deep gorge wilderness area surrounded by rock and water and large trees. Sorry for the trail sequence, but I really wanted it in there, even though it's a little nauseating.
