This drone-video, one of a dozen in a series, shows the final result of three months of airport runway construction work by the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy, undertaken as a training exercise. On May 3rd, 2019, the Catalina Conservancy held a Grand Re-Opening Ceremony, as the Airport again opened for public traffic. The ceremony honored those who had been active in making this happen, and also provided a nice display of interesting, aerial flybys and demonstrations. This video attempts to share some of the excitement of that day.
