Color Correction/Grading test with some Canon C300 footage. Thanks to Mario Feil and Nino Leitner for the raw files straight from the camera. Graded in DaVinci Resolve 8.1.

I had a great time working with this footage, even if it was limited. I did this on my lunch break at work since I don't have the time otherwise. I never thought I could have so much room to stretch and pull with at 8-bit and such high ISO without the image falling apart. The image looks wonderful and I would say it's partly thanks to the fine noise pattern from the sensor. One can only dream about how it would be with 10-bit, but right now I don't see it as a major flaw. I could do what I wanted and much more without noise reduction (that's really a first for me, I usually always perform noise reduction before grading/VFX to get rid of the digital noise, but here I think it contributed so much to the aesthetics of the image that I didn't want to). I look forward to test the camera for myself and use it in a real production.
