"Cars 2" Reel

All of this material is ©2011 Disney/Pixar. Here are (most of) the production shots I animated for Cars 2. I also served as a Directing Animator on the production, alongside Michal Makarewicz, so I'm surprised I was able to complete so much footage. That speaks mostly to how quickly we can animate car characters - there just aren't as many controls as on an organic character. I never expected to have another chance to work with John Lasseter as a director, so that was a real treat. We were an a very short production schedule, and we didn't have as much director time as we would have liked, but he trusted us to make the scenes work and delegated a lot of responsibility to the animators. Despite the tight deadlines, we made it a fun show to work on.
