Annual sled dog racing at Burke Mountain in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Shot with a Canon XHA1 before we went all DSLR. With good light, the XHA1 does well. The annual dog sledding races at the Burke Cross Country Ski Center in northeastern Vermont are held at the end of February or in early March. It is a time when the countryside is still very much in the grip of winter with temperatures often well below freezing. The snow depth on the trails is usually around a couple of feet.
