In January of this year, a 52-year-old man was hit by a car and killed crossing the street -- in a crosswalk -- at Cascade and Rogers Avenue. The City knows Cascade Road/Avenue is one of our most dangerous streets and had the funds to fix it after voters approved the Renew Atlanta bond back in 2015. Four years later and only half of the Cascade Corridor Complete Street project has been funded leaving a glaring gap in Southwest Atlanta's transportation network. A man died crossing the street and the City has ignored the conditions on Cascade for too long. Parents and students of Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy and community members joined together for a rally to fight for safe streets. They told the City to #RespectCascade, now it's your turn.
