The trailer for our documentary The Train I Missed. In the film, we trace the story of 3-year-old Ernie, a Jewish child growing up in The Hague in Holland. In 1942, thanks to a tip from a neighbor whose husband was a Nazi collaborator, Ernie's parents placed him in hiding. Ernst, now in his 70's, takes us on a journey through Holland. We get to learn about those who protected him as a child and pay homage to the innocents who were lost. His is an incredible tale of survival and sacrifice. In this time of growing antisemitism and marginalization, it is important to remember the grave cost of hatred and the tremendous impact we can have when we serve the needs of those least fortunate amongst us.
