The documentary Ghosts of Split is a travelogue to the past, but also the modernity of the city of Split. It is the view of the conflict of former left-wing anti-fascism and right-winged ideas prone to fascism of our time.
Our guides are Desa Kukoč and Ante Jelaska, both members of the anti-fascist movement from the time of Second World War. Witnessing a burdensome period of Split both are bitter with contemporary forgery and faced with contempt and aggression of the younger generation of citizens of Split.
Their emotional and personal story-telling make a film about the fate of generations of citizens of Split, affected by the whirlwind of the tragedy of the twentieth century.
