The Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Association hosts a webinar to explain VM0015, a new methodology to quantify the greenhouse gas benefits of activities that reduce unplanned deforestation and forest degradation (REDD).
Developed by Brazil’s Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS) and the World Bank’s BioCarbon Fund, the methodology can be used to estimate the greenhouse gas emissions from areas where unplanned deforestation is taking place and to quantify the emission reductions that occur when deforestation is curbed.
The webinar participants include Victor Salviati from Amazonas Sustainable Foundation and Adam Gibbon from Rainforest Alliance.
