CHP officer Jason Morton investigates Friday night 2-vehicle crash on Highway 299 east of Hatchet summit. A 75-year-old Burney woman reportedly was driving a Bronco west on the highway in the eastbound lane about 7:35 p.m., Dec. 16, 2011, when she collided with an eastbound Subaru driven by a 19-year-old driver from Weed. The woman was taken by ambulance to Mayers Memorial Hospital with minor injuries she sustained in the crash. Neither the second driver, who formerly resided in Fall River Mills, or his male passenger reported being injured. The crash blocked the eastbound lane and a westbound passing lane for a short time before both vehicles were pushed off the highway.
