From November 2007 through January 2008, I conducted a public video and drawing project at Seattle Center's Harrison Street Gallery. Based loosely on the history of the circle and the human inclination to want to draw a 'perfect' circle, I videotaped over 150 members of the public drawing or painting circles. The drawings were hung on the gallery walls after each drawing session, and the video footage edited, compiled, and projected on the back wall of the gallery.
The video portion from this piece was re-edited and refined, and selected for inclusion in the VIDEOHOLICA Festival in Varna, Bulgaria in 2008.
This footage is a sampling of the completed video.
