An intimate and interactive performance inspired by composer Maurice Ravel's extraordinary violin piece, Tzigane – a jazz-infused classical composition for a true virtuoso. This immersive performance by Michael Pinchbeck and Ollie Smith, is a poetic and poignant 10-minute experience based on real-life events. You take on the role of the violinist or the composer and, using wireless headphones, discover the true story of how this piece of music came to be. Solo follows two intertwined narratives and casts its two audience members in the key roles, from the moment the music starts to the curtain call. Commissioned by Attenborough Arts Centre, Lincoln Performing Arts Centre and Frequency Festival. Supported by Arts Council England.
