Thursday, April 11 • 11:30–12:30 PM • Session Room 1
Each of these panelists were too good to leave out! Each has an innovative approach to thermal exchange and each is expanding the reach of the energy and environmental benefits of heat pump technology. GeoSource Energy combines drilling science and practical experience with angled drilling to minimize the area needed while maximizing the geo-exchange below a building. Sharc is capturing high grade thermal energy from wastewater and using heat pumps to return the energy to buildings. GI Energy has combined geothermal loops in the foundations of large buildings known as EnergyPilesTM. Dutch ATES has sophisticated modeling and practical experience with aquifer thermal energy storage on a large scale.
