grupa o.k. is the collaborative endeavor of Julian Myers and Joanna Szupinska. Their practice includes editing, curating, writing, and research. Associate Professor at California College of the Arts, Myers is an art historian focusing on sculpture and spatial politics of the 20th century, the social and political dynamics of consumer society, and the socio-historical frameworks for contemporary art and exhibition. Szupinska's interests are in conceptual photography, the history of exhibitions, and the cross-cultural presentation of contemporary art. She is the 2011-12 Marjorie Susman Curatorial Fellow at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago. Szupinska holds an MA in Curatorial Practice from California College of the Arts in San Francisco and a BA in Art from UCLA.
