New Mural Designed by and For Adaptive PE Class at FDR High School in Brooklyn

Creative Art Works provided a mural design program for students in the adaptive PE class at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in Brooklyn as part of a NYC Department of Health Active Design initiative. The mural was intended to activate an outdoor activity area for sports and games. Students created their own individual designs and CAW Teaching Artist Valerie Halier took ideas from each student and combined them into a single, cohesive piece. The mural was painted by a team of teachers and veteran CAW Youth Apprentices hired expressly for the work. This segment by Spectrum News NY1 first aired on June 19th, 2019.
