Corn, wine and oil are well known to Freemasons everywhere as symbolic wages. Containers of them are on display in many Lodges, and in the United States, sometimes small vials of them are given as gifts to newly passed Fellow Crafts. But as common and familiar as these items are, why are they so important in our Craft? What is their traditional significance?
