My film, 'A Stoner's Guide to Making Egg Fried', originally made for the Film Council's Digital Shorts Scheme in 2003.
I entered the film into the BBC3 New Filmmakers Award whereupon it was shortlisted along with 10 other films, and shown at the 2003 Brief Encounters Film Festival.
Joe Cornish interviewed me at the festival for the BBC3 New Filmmakers Award programme, which was broadcast on the 24th and 27th March 2004, on BBC3.
I eventually won a runners-up prize of £1000 for my efforts which I used to pay an outstanding council tax bill and also buy a half decent tripod.
It was high point in my filmmaking career but I was a bit disappointed that I did not receive an over-sized novelty cheque at the prize giving ceremony.
