Durational Performance Installation for 48h-Neukölln Festival 2019
Neukölln Arcaden Gallery, Berlin.
In Skinned the dancers surrender to losing safety, searching for the potential that lies within. Playing with their desire for control, they explore exposure as a creative act.
This durational performance installation stages the body in between sculpture and dance, stillness and motion. Housed in an imaginary laboratory of the future, we examine our perception of safety. Sensation and improvisation define the
composition of the bodies, which are visible both from the gallery inside and from the street outside through floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
