Animating a 30-second spot for a screen this massive is an interesting task... 7 stories tall in all, with actual windows to work around. This was a one-of-a-kind project, to be completed within the tightest of deadlines... 3 business days to be briefed on it, design, animate and deliver with the challenge of working with hefty files and supplying in a proprietary format to a location clear on another coast.

The in-house created animation produced through our team at Costco Wholesale was displayed on the jumbotron screen on the NASDAQ building in Times Square, New York. The 30 second spot played every half hour on the display over the course of a week to celebrate the opening of a new Costco warehouse in Manhattan. The animation illustrates the breadth of products and brands carried by Costco Wholesale and plays in a split-screen format to illustrate the original animation timed to it's display on the jumbotron. One of my personal favorite parts... the purse that appears to be swinging on a window.

The actual animation did not have sound, but a background track has been added for this Vimeo version created and supplied by musical artist, Grant Crawford.
