Another short attention span slideshow of a day trip up to the old mining town of Jiufen, sometimes called "little Hong Kong" by locals. It was raining a little too hard to really enjoy everything the picturesque alleyways have to offer but what we did experience was amazing: Oriental Beauty tea at the Jiufen teahouse, fish ball soup, taro ball desserts and more. We went back to the same stall we went to in 2009 for taro balls and they were just as good as we'd remembered. Obviously everything was quite good, which accounted for the fact that even though it was pouring rain the little town was packed. Afterwards we took a cab (over the long train rides) back to Taipei and enjoyed the dryness and delicacies of the Shilin Night Market.
Almost all shot with a Nikon D700 with either the 24mm F1.4 or 50mm F1.2; time-lapse stuff was shot with the Ricoh GRD2. Edited in Lightroom and Premiere.
