The Glendale City Council is considering a rate increase to help pay for essential services to ensure a high-quality, reliable water source now and for decades to come.
The 6.5% increase for water and 5.5% sewer increase would cost the average user (the average user uses 7,100 gallons a month) about $3.30 a month but the actual dollar amount will vary based on usage.
The council will consider the increase at its regularly scheduled voting meeting Tuesday June 25, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers at 5850 W. Glendale Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301. Residents will also have an opportunity to share their input at the meeting.
For Glendale residents who qualify, a new Community Action Program is going in to effect that will help with monetary assistance for city utility bills. The program starts July 1st. To see if you qualify, call 623-930-2854.
