I do 3D stuff for a while now and I mostly put all my energy in real-time engines for years (Unity, Unreal, Native OpenGL/DirectX)… surely due to my jobs and programmer skills.
Last year, a couple of friends told me to jump into Houdini. I did it… and wow, what a blast. I don’t know how I worked all these years without this software.
Creating motion design and visual effects with it quickly became an addiction and a new way for self expression. I’m surely not leaving software engineering but I must admit creating motion digital art is very funny and inspiring, especially with all these efficient CGI tools and hardware today.
Here is a showreel of almost all the stuff I made in a year. Most of it is done with Houdini, Redshift, 3DS Max, Substance Painter, After Effects but you’ll also find a couple of real-time experiences done with Unity, OpenGL, Python, C#, C++, HLSL, GLSL, …
About the music, I took a song from Frankum on freesound.org and remixed it a bit.
