Testing Magic Lantern's new capabilities with footage from Pancorbo's Pass (Spain).
Shot with Canon's EOS Kiss X4 and Sigma's super-wide at around 12mm (19mm equiv.).
The resulting footage was processed using some of the workflows listed here:
Using Luma Key didn't give very nice results.
GingerHDR looks quite promissing. The possibility of merging PNG images with it's Merger tool was just added recently, although you can't control how. But this application is still in beta so we'll see how it evolves.
UPDATE -> I've been told by the developer of GingerHDR that the merging is controlled within the plugin, but unfortunatelly my attempt at removing the brusque transitions was unsuccessful.
After lots of tweaking & mixing here & there I found a look that kind of convinced me, blending the originals with a bit of the GingerHDR result.
I'm not an HDR expert and I haven't tried all of the workflows so I'm quite sure this footage could have ended with a better look.
