Toronto-based artist Ed Pien discusses his work in drawing, installation and video. Known for his elaborate installations composed of large-scale drawings and paper cut-outs, Pien often portrays other-worldly characters: spirits, ghosts and demons.
This lecture was presented as part of the Visiting Artist Program series titled “The Politics of Individuality”. The series is co-sponsored by Mount Allison University department of Fine Arts, the Owens Art Gallery, and Struts Gallery. “The Politics of Individuality” is funded by a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts to the department of Fine Arts at Mount Allison University.
