For many stopping at Tim Hortons or Starbucks on the way to work is a fundamental ritual to start the day. But this convenient pick-me-up comes at a significant environmental cost: 40 million papers cups a day that only get used once before they are destined for the dump.
This is a story about the cups that don't make it to the trash can.
