Summer is here at last at Onaway State Park, and as visitors and campers make their way in at the front entrance, it’s hard to miss a special little sign pointing patrons down toward the day-use area. After a fire in 2012 that completely destroyed the park’s historic pavilion in the campground area overlooking Black Lake, the DNR and the Friends of Onaway State Park are in the process of recreating an old piece of history. Join Sunrise Cable Network as we learn a little about the history of the park, and then stop by a special fundraiser and open house as the DNR recently unveiled their plans for the new pavilion.
