Welcome to the world of Metal through a documentary by Elly Zaid. Out of all of the music genres, metal is the most underground and perhaps because of this, it has a negative light shined upon it. Many hear the vocal techniques and immediately press 'next' but to those that are a part of the metal culture, they find their salvation, inspiration, and muse through the music. I decided to dissect why/what makes people 'fear' metal, how metal ties itself to listeners on a practically surreal level, and mend the relationship between metal and pop-culture views that lean away from it. It's about time someone backed up the metal head. Despite whether you like metal on not, this video won't make you a metal head, but you will have metal on your mind.
