Here's a little look back over the 2011 first annual London Surf / Film Festival – a celebration of the very cream of international surf culture.

Across three dark October nights the LS/FF hosted 10 packed out screenings of the very best international surf films at the legendary Riverside Studios. The line-up included The World Premiere of 'Through the Whisky Barrel', The European Premiere of the much celebrated 'Come Hell or High Water' winner of LS/FF Best Cinematography plus 8 huge UK Premieres including 'Splinters', recipient of LS/FF Best Documentary and 'Stoked & Broke' winner of LS/FF Viewers Choice Award . A culmination of the LS/FF Shorties comp – designed to support home grown talents – we were also stoked to showcase work from the very best British surf creatives including the winning Shorties entry from Mr. Chris McClean and Mr. Mark Waters. Their film 'Uncommon Ideas' has gone on to enjoy international acclaim and raise the bar of British surf filmmaking.

Alongside talks from leading filmmakers including waterman / Director Mr. Keith Malloy and a gallery show from British artists there was music, drinking and plenty of good times. Check out to see exactly what went down. Hope to see you there for LS/FF 2012!
