In 2006, I took a master's class at Hunter College called "Culture Jamming". We were assigned a redesign of a popular logo, followed by a postcard and a required guerilla public street performance.I decided on play on American Apparel's sexualized advertising which was the focus of much discussion that year. I developed a new logo for a company called "Masculine Arousal", a cotton full-body suit that was anything but sexy, and postcards depicting some of the most riske images that American Apparel released that year. What resulted was this humorous video filmed on-site during the performance at an American Apparel store in Manhattan. Camera by Cheryl Furjanic an performance by Joelle Sedlmeyer.
