CODE NAME: CYNTHIA received two produced staged readings in 2012 by Chicago Dramatists and Porchlight Music Theatre (Dir: Michael Weber, featuring Larry Adams, Jeff Dumas, David Girolmo, Cathy Lord, Tony DiFalco, Jennifer T. Grubb, Fred Zimmerman, Hillary Marren, Elissa Newcorn, Adam Molloy, Will Skrip) and the Chicago College of Performing Arts (Dir: Ray Frewen, featuring graduate and undergraduate students) plus a weeklong workshop at Roosevelt University.
CODE NAME: CYNTHIA was a semi-finalist for the 2012 National Musical Theatre Conference at the O’Neill, the 2012 National Alliance for Musical Theatre Conference, and the 2013 ASCAP New Musical Theatre Festival at the Lied Center. Selections from the show have been presented at three ASCAP/Chicago Dramatists New Musical Theatre Works cabarets and featured in the Chicago: Theatre Capital of America symposium at Columbia College. Based on music from the score, Multer & Multer were 2011 Dramatists Guild Fellows and worked with Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty, and Stephen Schwartz, and the writers were featured in the Dramatists Guild Traveling Masters series workshop with Andrew Lippa.
