A portrait documentary of a young, first year farmer learning what it means to love a piece of land. Filmed in 2016.
Directed, produced & edited by Andrew Harrison Brown
Co-Produced by Rick Cross
In 2016, Kyle decided to leave the city and an education in pre-med behind & move out to his family’s century-old farmland. Co-producer Rick Cross, a friend of the York Farm family, shared the story of Kyle’s endeavor to Andrew Harrison Brown (producer of feature films WHEN LAMBS BECOME LIONS and KIFARU). Andrew was looking for a project that would give him the opportunity to learn how to direct and edit. From there, the team filmed Kyle’s first year as an organic farmer.
Special thanks to Kyle, Nicole & Nancy for sharing a chapter of your story and a few lessons you learned along the way with us.
