Hi guys, this one is a truly heartfelt same day edit. We are so happy with how this turned out despite the bit of dilemma in choosing the right song to go with it. We knew that we have a bit of pressure telling this couple's story after the success of their cinematic portraiture prewedding photography session. We have a lot to live up from the film department! You can see their prewedding pictures here: facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151118272420716&set=at.10151118265710716.789231.125615945715.1086361045&type=1&theater
But fear not that we went by our instinct and stick to what matters most, their story.
Oanh is a dress maker. Yep, she is in the same industry as us.. She is a very lovely woman and very caring to all of us as well as Eric. We could really tell that they love each other so much without any doubt. Also, I think everyone would agree if I say that they are one hot couple. We got more comments about how they look then how great the pictures and films were :P
Oanh's sister Loanh is very close to her... and very look alike too! so its great to see some of her crying shots during tea ceremony as well as ceremony.
Knowing that oanh is a wedding gown designer (oanhmacouture.com.au) and she designed all the dresses, definitely we needed to show off some dresses in the film and I particularly love Ferry's slow motion shot of Oanh spinning. with her flowing dress.
The theme of slow motion came along naturally as we were hearing the song and it just fits very well. The speech from one of the aunties during tea ceremony also was very touching to everyone so that really set the mood for the whole clip.
Finally, this is very personal for everyone who knows eric and oanh. When the song sings "I wouldn't change a thing.." We show eric looking at his daughter Ashleigh walking down the isle together with the other flower girls. I think it really says a lot about their story that no matter what, both of them wouldn't change a thing and everything is beautiful in the end. I was so touched looking at how eric took a deep breath holding his tear there...
So thanks so much eric and oanh and family. We had a great time. God bless you both and your family and we look forward to catch up soon!
