Sea thrift, a bonny seashore plant common in the UK, may not be as secure as we think. In Portugal it has been listed on the IUCN red list as vulnerable. As sea levels rise so will the risk to many of our shoreline plants.
This film is considers the nature of rising sea levels and the inexorable force of the oceans. Whilst building sea walls may have been a short-term solution in the past, surely we need to consider the bigger, long-term picture and take individual responsible action right now.
